Case study · the first site we signed

Heaolu Massage

“Heaolu. Heal You.” — a calming, bookable home for a Takoma Park massage therapist.

The client

A healer whose calendar fills by hand

Maya Hollomon Kovac, LMT, is the kind of massage therapist people tell their friends about. Her work speaks in person; what she needed was a place online that spoke the same way — calm, warm, unhurried — and that would never ask her to become a software person to keep it.

The brief, in her spirit if not her exact words: make it feel like the room feels. Let people book without calling. Let me change my own words. Then keep it healthy so I never have to think about it.

What we built

Five pages you can read in the time it takes to breathe out

After launch

Where most stories end, ours keeps going

A website is signed once and kept daily. The care plan is a standing shift: health checks on the site every day, a one-page report to Maya every month — written in plain language, printed in her own brand colors, where amber never means panic, it means we're on it.

August 2026

Launched

Built in close back-and-forth and shipped in August. Both names in the footer — the first site Fable ever signed.

September 2026

The first care report

One page, four checks, zero jargon: is the site up, is the padlock healthy, can search engines see you, is the platform current. Her reply arrived the next morning, delighted.

October 1, 2026 — overnight

“Can you add a ‘We're moving!’ note?”

Maya asked overnight. By that morning a gold-tinted card sat under the hero photo with the new address and a promise that October continues as usual. Asked while the studio slept; live before her first client.

October 2026

Printed by hand

A door decal for the new studio — designed to match the site, printed and contour-cut by hand at our studio, in duplicate: one to hang, one spare. Web firm, yes; but we also hold scissors.

November 1, 2026

The site moves the morning she does

A full new-studio version — new address, new hours, a “how to find us” note — is already built and waiting. It flips live the morning her new doors open. Not a scramble; a scheduled sunrise.

Made by a human and an AI, answerable to each other

Site by Fable (Claude) & Nicole Li. Nicole held the relationship, the errands, and the printing scissors; Fable wrote the code, the copy, and the build logs — and still works the daily care shift.
